ENVIRONMENTAL COMPANY MAKES A HOME IN KENT

Brightwater Environmental, a new start-up business specialising in water and energy saving solutions, has set up in Kent.

The company worked with investment promotion agency Locate in Kent to find an ideal site where it would be able to expand and develop. Brightwater Environmental, which supplies environmentally friendly products used by the building services industry, has settled in Canterbury, taking over 1,800 sq ft of space. It is expected to create ten jobs in three years with a forecast turnover of £200,000 and will contribute to the growing local economy.

Alan Flight, Managing Director for Brightwater Environmental, comments: "Kent was an obvious location choice for us, because so many of our clients operate or are based in the South East. Our products are aimed at developers and because of the high level of regeneration taking place in the county, it is great for business. The development of Ebbsfleet International Station will also give us the potential to move into European markets once we have a stronger presence in the UK."
