DENNE HILL IS JUST THE BUSINESSES

The Denne Hill Business Centre in Womenswold, near Canterbury, is celebrating after attracting a new tenant - US company, Solace Pharmaceuticals.

With its American office in Boston, Solace Pharmaceuticals is a privately owned organisation which researches and develops innovative pain relief treatments. The company approached investment promotion agency Locate in Kent for assistance in finding suitable commercial property and subsequently moved four employees to The Denne Hill Business Centre. The company expects to create seven further jobs in the county within three years.

Locate in Kent was also involved in advising tour operator Goodwood Travel of Canterbury to set up at Denne Hill. Based in central Canterbury for 23 years and specialising in offering Concorde charter flights, the company has now relaunched and taken 900sq ft of space at the site. It now offers its 'Flights of Fantasy' service in private jets and hopes to create another three jobs in three years.

The Denne Hill Business Centre is a modern courtyard development created from a series of Victorian farm buildings. It offers a flexible office scheme, offering a variety of unit sizes depending upon occupier demand. In a peaceful parkland setting, the site is only a short distance from the A2, allowing easy access to the commercial hubs of Canterbury and Dover. Other occupiers at the site include East Kent Legal Services, Amac Sports and Unite Human Resources.

Ed Cartwright of Humberts, the agent for Denne Hill said: "We now have a real mix of tenants - from start-ups to established businesses and from local businesses to foreign direct investments. The development comprises over 7,000 sq ft of modern offices and just one suite remains available."
