Kent Business Awards Open For Business
Kent companies urged to go for it in 2008 at sell-out awards launch
A sell out launch at Oakwood House announced that the Kent Business Awards is now open for entries for 2008. Hosted by ITV Meridian presenter, Jeff Moody, the networking event attracted an excellent mix from the Kent business elite, keen to showcase their companies and a win a presitigious trophy.
In the beautiful setting of the stately home, potential entrants enjoyed wine and canapés followed by a presentation about the new award categories and hear what the judges are looking for in a winner.
Mike Collins, Director, Commercial Banking for The Royal Bank of Scotland, Kent, talked about the judging process. He said: "Winning an award is a seal of quality that impresses your existing clients and customers and helps to attract new ones. Its really worth putting some time and effort towards your submission as the quality of your answers can make you stand out from hundreds of entries".
Winners will benefit from greater recognition around the county, invaluable publicity, and use of the exclusive award-winners logo. Closing date for entries is 8 February 2008. Winners will be announced at the glamorous awards dinner on 12 June 2008.
With awards for all-round excellence as well as for businesses demonstrating special strengths in areas such as innovation and community affairs, there should be an award to suit every kind of leading company.
Organisers are predicting a record year of entrants for 2008 and encourage companies to start planning their entries early as competition is high.
