Transmanche Enterprise Network (TEN) opportunities and offers

If you run a local business and have less than 10 employees, you can still take advantage of the TEN Project’s many opportunities and offers, which include business support events and, for members, the use of a free office suite at Lakesview Enterprise Centre.

Launched in April 2011, The TEN Project has established an office suite at the Lakesview Enterprise Centre for project members to use for their businesses free of charge.  The office gives members the chance to experience working from a wireless commercial environment or as extra space to hold meetings or work away from day to day distractions.

First to use this new space was Annie McNamara, Director for Interactrice Ltd

“TEN members should be falling over each other to book this brilliant, stylish – and free! – office space. So far I've used it to meet my co-workers in our virtual design and marketing agency, Coalesce, to plan our own European marketing strategy. I've subsequently put in two days' of solid work there, writing and editing website and brochure copy.

Advantages over my home office? Quiet environment where I can really concentrate on what I'm doing; no interruptions (not even phone calls, if you switch off your mobile); plenty of room to spread out materials (A3 sheets for brainstorming, maps for plotting world domination – that kind of thing).

There's free, superfast wi-fi broadband, a meeting room if you want to bring clients in and even free coffee - just remember to bring your own milk. So do yourself and your business a big favour and get booking – if we don't use it we'll lose it!”

If you would like further information about the TEN project, or you are already a member and would like to book the office suite, please contact Natalia.sukhram@canterbury.gov.uk
