The Voice for Business

What is C4B

A unique partnership between private sector businesses, the public sector and the City Council, C4B avoids the 'them and us' syndrome so common in business/public sector/Council links. In this partnership, there is only 'us'.

What is C4B's Vision?

An enthusiastic local community that recognises the benefits that business growth can bring to local prosperity and will support and encourage dynamic and developing businesses to realise their full potential.

What are C4B's Objectives?

  • To work collectively across the sectors to achieve the vision, with a clear focus on the needs of the district
  • To identify and understand the barriers to the vision, and then through collaborative working, ensure that these barriers are removed
  • To dispel the image of the district as nothing more than a centre for tourism and leisure.

How Does C4B Work?

What is C4B

Rather than a membership organisation, C4B is a voluntary organisation. All board members contribute their time and resources for free. It is altruistic in the sense that it has at its heart the welfare of business and the wider community.

Identifying high impact projects and encouraging their progress is the basis on which C4B works. By calling on support from the City Council, the County Council, the support agencies, the local Further Education and Higher Education institutions and the Area Strategic Partnership and regional agencies – anyone who is anyone can help put the district on the map. It works to establish connections with everyone that matters.
