Welcome to the May issue of the C4B newsletter, which includes details of the C4B Board's response to the City Council's draft Local Development Framework (LDF), launched for consultation earlier this year. We also report on how the Business First graduate internship scheme can help small businesses, and look at how C4B is working to keep the discussions on Whitstable traffic management on the move.

Welcome to the February issue of the C4B newsletter, which highlights current and forthcoming businesses events, initiatives and activities taking place in the Canterbury district this spring. With C4B's special breakfast briefing on the Local Development Framework in February, followed by the March Business Month seminars and workshops, there are plenty of 'dates to save'. Help spread the word by forwarding this and future C4B e-newsletters on to your business contacts and colleagues.

Our November issue highlights three very important initiatives that offer you an opportunity to shape the future of your district. The City Council's draft budget for the 2010/11 financial year is now up for public consultation; the LDF (Local Development Framework) soon will be, and Canterbury District Partnership Environment Group's travel business transport survey should have already reached your inbox. Your feedback is valued, so please take a few minutes to review and comment on these current initiatives, and look out for the LDF consultation document when it's launched in January.

Welcome to the September issue of C4B's newsletter, which highlights some of some of the new initiatives and opportunities for businesses in the district this autumn. If you're interested in joining C4B as an associate, or would like to get involved with any of the C4B project groups (see the Project Group Roundup further down the page) please visit www.canterbury4business.co.uk to find out more.

You'll notice that we've changed the format of this month's C4B email update to make it quicker and easier for you to read - just follow the links to read more about the topics you're interested in. As always, we hope you find the content interesting and informative. If you're new to C4B, and would like to know more about its aims, activities and the work of the four project groups, you'll find everything you need to know at www.canterbury4business.co.uk.

C4B's successful Associates Conference attracted an audience of over 100 local businesses and organisations to the Harris Suite at Kent Cricket Club's St Lawrence ground in Canterbury on October 14. Delegates enjoyed a full English breakfast and networking session before hearing from keynote speakerspeaker, Colin Carmichael, Chief Executive of Canterbury City Council.

C4B's first environment conference, held on Earth Day (22 April) in the main hall at Canterbury College, was a huge success. Over 85 businesses attended the event, which included presentations by national, regional and local speakers, including four local 'champions', and an exhibition of green services and products.
