There are two important opportunities to 'have your say' about the future of your district this winter. Public consultation has begun on the City Council's draft budget for the 2010/11 financial year - you can check out the full proposals now at www.canterbury.gov.uk/budgetconsultation. The City Council is also putting together its Local Development Framework (LDF). This comprehensive planning strategy will set out how development will be managed across the Canterbury district, and reflect the district's economic, environmental and social aims. The LDF will be launched for public consultation in January 2010, when the City Council will be consulting local businesses about the core options in the plan. We'll keep you posted regarding the launch date. As a local business, your feedback on the City Council's plans is invaluable, so please make the most of these opportunities to voice your opinions and ideas.
